Hispanic Heritage Month Employee Spotlight: Daniella Gallego

Triller is spotlighting its Hispanic employees in the company and how they celebrate their heritage.

Tell us a little bit about your background and the work you do at Triller
My name is Daniella Gallego and I am the Senior Director of Marketing at Triller. I am half Colombian and half Puerto Rican. I was raised between San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Miami, FL, where I live today.

Favorite Latin music/artist?
I love some of the classics, like Luis Miguel, Carlos Vives, Mana, and Juan Luis Guerra. But currently, Bad Bunny is my favorite.

How do you celebrate Latin Culture?
Living in Miami, I have the privilege of celebrating Latin culture every day — through food, music, and, of course, speaking with fellow Spanish-speakers from all over Latin America.

What is one thing you want the world to know, acknowledge, or understand about the Hispanic community?
It is important for people to recognize that the Hispanic community is incredibly diverse and encompasses people from over 20 different Spanish-speaking countries, each with its own history, politics, accents, food, and various races, which influences our individual cultural experiences.

What advice would you give to young Hispanic/LatinX individuals?
I feel incredibly fortunate to have opportunities that my parents didn’t necessarily have, and I don’t take that for granted. We always have room for improvement, so my advice is to be as disciplined and focused as possible in order to continue to thrive professionally and personally.
